Jimmi and the Band of Souls are going to Memphis! We are excited, humbled and honored to have been selected by the judges at this year’s Road to Memphis competition to represent Minnesota at the 2015 International Blues Challenge! We were chosen among seven bands, each of whom had some of our favorite singers, guitar players, harmonica players, bassists and drummers playing. It had to have been a difficult decision for the judges and we are grateful for the honor.
Thanks go to the Minnesota Blues Society for sponsoring the contest and to Ted Wilebski and the Blues Saloon for hosting. Crazy amounts of thanks to all the club owners and festival organizers who have invited us into their space over the last three and a half years. The same amount of thanks is being delivered via freight truck right now to Hurricane Harold, Jackson Buck, Pam Hill and all the folks at KFAI and to Hammer and the Blue Monday Monthly staff like Kenny Tritz, Dick Stephenson and Doug Spike.
An extra special thank you to all of you who come out to listen to us at our shows and pick up CD’s. We couldn’t say enough about how much we appreciate you! Your friendship is sacred to us. We are thankful for you!
Thanks also to our families and friends who have been there with encouragement, patience and support. Thank you!
Can’t wait to see you at the next show! Until then, all the best to you and yours. Enjoy the moments.
